license

a simple and flexible licensing model

patio® foundry uses a clear, two-tier licensing system designed to cover most common use cases — from individual designers to larger organizations — without unnecessary complexity.

basic
license

the basic license is intended for individual designers, freelancers, and small teams working on limited projects.
it allows you to install the fonts on up to five desktop computers and use them on one website, with no limit on pageviews. both personal and commercial work are covered.
this license is ideal for graphic design, editorial projects, branding, and standard web use.
pricing follows a pay-what-you-want model. the license terms are always the same, regardless of the price you choose.

allowed:
— you can do any kind of design work with this font family, including logo/trademarks design.
— the font may be used in editable embedding pdfs and other similar documents.
— the font may be used in e-publications.

not allowed:
— you may not sell this font without permission.
— you may not redistribute this font without permission.
— you may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create derivative works based on this font.

enterprise
license

the enterprise license covers all other use cases beyond the scope of the basic license.
for large teams, multi-platform projects, or non-standard use, the enterprise license is usually the right choice.

unlimited installations: covers all your devices, additional computers, and platforms.
multi-channel use: includes websites, apps, broadcasting, and digital products.
third-party collaboration: covers external partners working on behalf of the license holder
future-proof: the license is time-unlimited and not limited by devices or media.

pricing is based solely on the size of the organization, measured by the total number of employees.
